In 2003, Muriel Watt and David Jordan of Quakers Hill invested in rooftop solar power system on their home with a grid connect, allowing the couple to feed power back into the grid and have the costs deducted from their quarterly power bill. Muriel and David were said to be the first to install such a system, but it is unknown if it was a first in the area, the state or country.
